Improving the mushroom industry one farmer at a time
Mushroom Growers Association of Kenya (MGAK) was created in 2017 as a Facebook Group by Anthony Githae and Melvin Juma. Today, MGAK has over 30,000 members on Facebook and 700 members on Whatsapp. Subsequently, MGAK was registered as Modern Mushroom Farmers Association (MMFA) by the Registrar of Societies in 2023. MMFA brings together local mushroom growers, aggregators and processors aiming to revolutionize the mushroom industry through innovation, local and international collaboration and standardized practices.
